Split stitch is another outline stitch and is similar to backstitch but with a bit more texture. Keep your stitches consistent lengths for a neat finish.
Step 1: You are going to work left to right again. Bring the needle up at A and then take the needle down at B, missing C. Pull the thread all the way through to complete the first stitch.
Step 2: Bring the needle up from the back to the front at C, you are going to split the first stitch. Take the needle down at D, missing E.
Step 3: Bring the needle up at E, splitting the previous stitch. Take the needle down at F, complete the line to finish.
